Full Exam

family-at-the-parkSkin cancer can appear anywhere on the body—behind your ears, between toes, on your back, in the groin area, or in your scalp. A full skin exam is just that, examining all your skin for potential skin cancer growths. Women should not wear makeup or nail polish to the appointment. Wear your hair loose so that your doctor can access your scalp. The doctor will examine each part of your skin, and may use a special tool to magnify the skin, called a dermatoscope, to examine certain areas of the skin or any suspicious marks or lesions.
